Kirchner Museum Davos by Gigon / Guyer Architects

The winner for the Daylight-Award 2012 are the Zurich architects Annette Gigon and Mike Guyer for their groundbreaking Kirchner Museum in Davos. In collaboration with the Department of Architecture of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (D-ARCH ETH), Zurich the VELUX STIFTUNG presented for the third time the Daylight-Award on 18th January 2012 in Basel for a building which are linked to a innovative use of daylight.

In this interview with Annette Gigon and Mike Guyer, the architects talk about the relevance of daylight in their work in general and the specific challenges they faced with the Kirchner Museum in Davos.
